Swamp Cat

Volume 29 - Issue 4

A 14" x 11" stained glass panel featuring the Florida panther resting deep within a blue-green landscape of swamp forest, pinelands, and hardwood hammocks. Copper U-channel framing is used to harmonize with the orange/yellow of the sky. Interest is added to the design by letting the tip of the panther’s tail extend beyond the bottom border of the panel. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique. This article was originally published on page 22 in the Winter 2013 issue of Glass Patterns Quarterly.
