Instructions for creating a fused pendant lamp from sheet glass and various shades of green and blue medium transparent frit. The glass is laid out in a sunburst pattern like the spokes of a wheel with a hole in the center. In a second firing, the frit is tack-fused on. The starburst is then balanced on top of a stainless steel vase mold and heated until all of the fingers bend and fall against the sides. The lamp can also be shaped to fit a lamp base as well as the pendant fixture. This article was originally published on page 62 in the Summer 2013 issue of Glass Patterns Quarterly.
