The Forever Rose

Volume 37 - Issue 2

A technique for creating roses using glass wafers. A powder slurry made by mixing glass powders with glue is spread onto plastic sheets to dry. The petals are cut from the yellow sheets and rolled into cones, and green sheets are used for the leaves. After firing, the flower and leaves are assembled using floral tape. A firing schedule is provided. Article originally published on page 50 in the Summer 2021 issue of Glass Patterns Quarterly®.
