Sandpiper

Summer 2021

An 18"-diameter stained glass design featuring a sandpiper walking along the beach. A careful selection of glass colors and grains adds realism and depth to the piece. Combining lighter and darker areas of the Wissmach glass used for the water also gives the appearance of the sun shining on the waves. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique.
