Tension might seem like something we want to avoid, but we use tension all the time when we spin, from our wheel systems to how we manage the yarns we create. This issue will help remove tension in your body/head by explaining and exploring all the ways tension is useful when you are spinning. You’ll find articles that provide an overview of band materials and their advantages and disadvantages, including when you might want to use a particular material, and articles that give specific examples for when you might want to increase the take-up or decrease the take-up when creating a specific yarn plus tips for how to change the take-up. There’s so much more, including three projects: a cowl, socks, and crochet scarf. Note: Physical copies of this issue will ship June 10.
