Hibiscus Bowl

Volume 33 - Issue 2

A 71/2" x 8" fused and slumped hibiscus-shaped bowl with freeform border. Layers of different colored frits are used to fill the design areas of the flower shaped mold, and clear medium frit is used to complete the fill. The bowl is fired once to set the design, then slumped to create the bowl shape. This article was originally published on page 50 in the Summer 2017 issue of Glass Patterns Quarterly.
