Egyptian Scarab Beetle

Volume 29 - Issue 1

A 7" x 10" stained glass panel with curved corners featuring an Egyptian scrab beetle. Shades of iridized glass plus the addition of a faceted glass gem provide a lustrous sparkle to this project. The wings are fired and slumped in the kiln to provide a more dimensional look. Solder fill is used for the scarab’s legs. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique.
